JB - How to Sound like a Million Bucks

While I'm not big on his tunes, that's a monster fucking guitar tone he's got going on there.

It's gotta be a blast playing through that rig.

His phrasing gets more EJ-like as time goes on.

I sold him a King Of Tone pedal once!!
Good dude.
Like everybody else circling the wagons, I think his playing is straight fire but the catchiness of his music or his songs are dial tone at best.
That man has earned everything he’s got.
Don’t forget fellas, you can get all that gear
but can you hang onto it.
He puts a lot into it & lives it.
His stage alto-character persona -reminds me of
Agent Smith from the motion picture “The Matrix”.
Like scary close, I think JB oozes it and foesn’t even realize it.

Maybe there will be a finale end of the world
scene and Agent Smith pulls out a BC Rich Warlock and starts playing flurries of ferocious notes that puncture Neo from the inside out like when he’s in reality & unconsciously wired up in ‘the chair’..

Neo’s turn.. he pulls up Hendrix’s burnt guitar and starts playing Eruption on the pieces of the guitar that are left..he pulls a stop, holds the guitar up and rips it in two, throws the two pieces over his shoulders (a pseudo-humor Bruce Lee moment)
grabs Agent Smith’s BC Rich Warlock, pulls a
nano quick Albert Colllins ‘turbo lick’
followed by spinning the guitar up on his index finger, into his hands like a scythe and chops off Agent Smirh’s head , spins around thousands of times & smash’s Agent Smith’s
decaputed head into musical notes that go up
in a flash as
“People=Shit” fades away from your ears.
Rest in BEAST Joey!!!

I’ll let another member on this forum who’s read this comment take over or add to what I mustered up…
-a hint of madness makes for the best of art.

Yeah, what's not to love about that setup??
Most of that million is in that hideous LP he's holding. I can see the headstock almost snapping from here!

:stirthepot:stirthepot

:grin
Exactly! I don't know how he can play that shitty thing!......

I honestly hope that some day we can meet, have some beers and play some guitar. I have the feeling it’d be one of the more memorable jams I’ll ever experience!

itd be like a financial planner telling you the easiest way to safely get rich is to just simply put 10 million in a high yield savings acct and then to live off the interest.

I think some of those amps may be appreciating at the same rate as a High-Yield savings acct.

I'm not a JB fan...the guy just irks me...but that's not a bad strategy - play all the vintage gear that you want - all while it serves as your retirement fund.
