How do the deal with the loudness?

I've had tinnitus since I was a little kid, I thought loud ringing in the ears at random was something everyone had. I'm glad it started back then, as I've read people's descriptions of getting it later in life and it can cause some serious depression with people. During the divorce I developed pulsatile tinnitus, which I'm curious how similar it is to @AutomationBias's tinnitus. I could feel my heartbeat in my ear when I'd start getting stressed or anxious. It's generally a sign of high blood pressure and I know mine was through the roof then, but it's stopped entirely once it was all said and done. That shit drove me insane.
Yeah, the 'typewriter tinnitus' is also triggered by high blood pressure (which I have, and treat with meds). It sounds like they're pretty similar, but pulsatile is directly connected to your heart rate, and typewriter is more of a tapping or clicking sound that's completely random.

Tinnitus here too since age 12 and firecrackers.

My buddy just got hearing aids. Interestingly, he said the tinnitus went away with the hearing aids.

That can happen at a Crue show. Around that same time frame we went to a Crue show and there was a young woman in the men’s restroom giving “special attention” to a guy in one of the stalls.

You can go to a Crue show now and the same thing will happen. Unfortunately, it’s the same women now as it was 35 years ago, and gravity has not been kind to most of them.

Anyone who calls anybody a wuss for wanting to protect their hearing is an idiot who won’t be able to hear everyone laughing at them and their idiocy when they go deaf way too early.

Which one? I assume there are Marquees in a few cities. I frequently go to the one in Phoenix.
The real one on Wardour Street London. It did move to Tottenham Court Road but if someone says the Marquee they mean this one.

I've had the constant ringing for decades as well, so, I only even notice it once in a long while, when there's silence, (there rarely ever is), or if I think about it.

I've been wearing either earplugs or IEMs in my ears, when I play live, since around the year 2000. I've been lucky enough to have light handed drummers for the last 20 years, as well. I actually JUST started NOT wearing them, at certain places, and it's been fine, but yeah, it'll be IEMs or earplugs for the most part.

I have something else that's been happening to my ears, for like, the last 30 or 40 years, that I can't figure out what it is. It only happens like once every few months, for like 5 seconds. It sounds like a "groan" or vibration, it's "note" descends about a whole step, and then it just stops. It comes out of nowhere, and happens when I'm just sitting on the couch watching tv. Strangest thing.

Also, about the same occurence frequency, one ear will "mute", and ring loudly, for about 10 seconds, any my hearing in that ear slowly comes back, in that 10 seconds.

I really wish I knew what both of those things were.

It depends on the person, like anything else. Take food for example, some people eat whatever they want and never gain weight (my brother is like that), while others have to be constantly dieting (that would be me).

When it comes to noise, I've been around loud amps all my life. I had my hearing checked last year and it's fine. But I know some guys who were exposed to noise a lot less than I was and ended up with hearing problems.

That said, it's not a good idea to just roll the dice. Use ear protection and pay attention to the signs/symptoms your body gives you.

I can stand in front of 2 x100 1/2 stacks fairly loud keeping SPL's [sound pressure levels] below the waist. Amps behind me when gigging.
However in da 80's i used to point the cabs at my head. Bad idea as i eventually ruptured an eardrum diming a Marshall with drums.
Ear has healed over the years but can't take too much decibel overload.
Whats annoying to me is going to a concert venue where its super loud and not in a good way.
I have Pro audio earplugs but hate to use them.
