You'll laugh, but the hardest task when assembling my partscaster was accurately drilling the pilot hole for that damn string tree screw and the little hole for the positioning nub. That tree nub on that part is a nice detail though - I love that the tree will never be wonky.

Looks modern and tidy to my eye. Here it is on my Jazzmaster:
