Thanks dude! Unexpectedly heard Tool (and Deftones) on the radio this morning and it was the boot up the arse I needed to make a quick demo ha.
Very slapdash demo of some new ToneX models using my modded Super Bass. Forgot how fun that amp is, just insane how you can clean it up with the guitar volume alone (the clean tone and rhythm tone in the demo are the exact same patch with just the guitar volume rolled back).

Not as a matter of 1:1 recaptures but i’ll likely go over the amps in more depth now as batch training makes it a lot easierSounds awesome, @MirrorProfiles! Are you planning to update all your Tonex captures with the new engine?
Get yourself a Lehle P Split or any other decent reamp box.I can take a run at it with my Quantum 2626 but the outs on that interface are all line level. I’ll need a line to instrument converter most likely. It seems really important that the impedance is correct hitting the amp.
Thanks, I’ll look into it!Get yourself a Lehle P Split or any other decent reamp box.
With the lehle you’d get 18dBu coming out of the 2626 which would be very loud (you’d likely need to lower your input levels a fair bit to get it to unity). I’m not sure if it has a software mixer but if so you could drop the level on the way out 5dB or so if it does.
How quickly does the ToneX change presets/captures out of interest? Is it instant?
And presumably no limitations when taking Tonex 1.9/2.0/blahblahblah latest version captures and putting them on the hardware ???
I'm vaguely curious about getting one yknow.
This is correct. As far as I can tell, it is the training process that changed and the captures look the same to the hardware.
@IK Multimedia bringing it!This is correct.
There was an update this morning too:
TONEX v1.10.2 (for Mac/PC)
What's new in version 1.10.2:
- TONEX
- Added a Tone Model Version filter (available in both Home and ToneNET).
- Fixed an issue with the cab lock in ToneNET.
- TONEX Modeler
- Fixed an issue where specific capture names could prevent training.
- Fixed an issue where re-training a capture could start multiple training processes.
- Fixed an issue where the "Start All" button became unavailable.
- Fixed an issue where the training progress bar could display incorrect jumps.
- General reliability improvements.

I’m using the Axe IO One which handles the line to instrument level conversion going from the DAW to amp. I’m using the Suhr RL for the cab load.Anyone here using the ToneX Capture box. Does it bring anything to the table that a dedicated DI and reamp box don't???
