HX Stomp appreciation

So after all these years, I gotta say that the HX Stomp is still the best small modeling pedal I’ve ever bought. I know there are a bunch of other small pedals in the market that are newer and offer some different features, but I haven’t seen anything yet that makes the stomp seem outdated. If anything, it still sets the bar for overall tone, flexibility and ease of use for a pedal I can throw in the front of a gig bag. Honestly wouldn’t have thought it would still be getting updates this long. Kudos to Line 6.

Overall, best guitar pedal ever made, IMHO.

Feature set + sound quality vs. footprint ratio is just unrivaled for the venerable Stomp. Incredible how the thing was released in 2018, and nothing has really come close since.

Not a trace of buyer's remorse for me with the HX Stomp. I honestly consider it to be my best purchase ever. It's a keeper, and should it ever fail, it'll be going up on the wall as a 3-D example of industrial design mastery.

That's not to say that it's perfect. For example, when will Line6 be porting the MIDI CC# 128 feature across to the Stomp from the Floor? I need it. Badly.

IF Line 6 ever releases a successor in the same footprint and keeps a similar price point, it’ll retain that position IMO.

Well, it's old. No need for them to change some rather fundamental things anymore. Doesn't make economical sense, either.

No. At least not for me.
Soundwise, I'm absolutely fine with the current generation. I would love to see some rather substantial improvements in terms of usability. In case they bring that on, I might be interested.

And everyone must know the rules.
If you sell the stomp three times you’re forever cursed and can never buy it again.
Accept the blessing of HX Stomp, because it only forgives you two times, the third time you’re fucked. All HX Stomp units are programmed so they know you from the first time.

I love the Stomp, it's a stone cold classic. I learned the Never Sell Your Stomp™ rule the hard way and now have a second one that I'll (hopefully, haha) keep forever.

The only thing I wish it had is a way to switch presets that doesn't need an external switch.
