Early this week, I saw that Epiphone had released a new “Inpsired by Gibson” line, the Futura series. The V caught my eye and luckily enough one of the local Long & McQuade’s had one in stock. Went to try it out and out the door it went with me.

It’s a great feeling and playing guitar and has a lot of top notch features. Grover locking tuners, individual push/pull split coils for each pickup and a push/pull phase along with stainless steel frets and Posi-Lok strap buttons. The fit and finish is great and the neck is super comfortable.

The pictures do not do the chormafinsh any justice. The sparkle and slight color shifts depending on the light are pretty cool and makes it very eye catching. The only knock I’ve got against this guitar is the “premium gig bag”. It’s pretty much a joke but I’ve got a nice hardshell gator case that will work well for it.
