How to mod a Hotone Press to work with an HX Effects (footswitch and expression)?

Not specifically about the Hotone, but apparently you can mod a footswitch to work with the HX Effects by making it act like an expression going from 0 to 10. Does anyone know where I can get the info to rewire the Hotone or could kindly draw it out if you know how to do it? Thanks.
