Hopefully....I'm going to eat some crow (Fender Tonemaster Pro content)

@timbuck3 Can you explain the logic that goes through you mind when deciding which thread you're going to post a video into? It seems totally random and I'm often left wondering what the connection is between the video and the content of the thread.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Logic? Haha well this thred mentioned friedman on the tmp so maybe hearing the fractals in this vid can shed some light on the differences?

Tim, what do you play through dude? I'm dying to know. Give us something...

It's obvious you like modelers - so you must own at least 1 unit? I'm on a Pod Go now - totally content with it. I find it fantastic. How about you?

I had a TMP for a few days. It sounded pretty good to me and that was when they first came out. It definitely had some potential. It's good to see some of that potential is being realized.

I owned a helix and sold early on.. didnt like it but in fairness it was before all the major updates.
Had the gt1000 and liked the x amps but too few and interface didnt work well for me.
Had katana ver 1 and liked but sold to get the artist 1 but liked the non artist better but never rebought it and sent the artist back.
I still play my old tonelab se with ir loader.. and old valvettonix blue advtx2-12 and ad120hd into the 4-12 stereo vtx cab .. and i have vtx300 amps
Lastly i use a roger linn modeling /effects unit that i like alot with headphones. I have tried the hr but dont think effects and tones ate great but i like the interface.

I was just doing some TMP Googling and I read that FX Loop 1 and FX Loop 2 are both "fully Analog" and both are "pre-any-AD/DA" processing (?) If true (?) - that's 2 pretty cool features (?)
That's actually really cool.

To be fair nothing is fractal flexible. The signal routing is one of the most genius aspects of Fractal.
Not sure about this really. The amount of hoops you have to jump through just to separate the left and right of an input and output .... kinda wild tbh. Like if you want to just simply have two mono parallel paths using IN 1 Left > OUT 1 Left and IN 1 Right > OUT 1 Right .... you have to be a dolphin to get it done.

I agree. As much as I love Fractal, the way I/O and mono/stereo/panning are handled is so all over the place to work with. I wish the digital I/O didn’t replace the analog I/O too, I have different presets using different parts of the I/O. Sometimes it needs digital, sometimes analog, sometimes things are in mono and sometimes stereo. Doing even the most basic routing can get messy.

First off: Thanks for your detailed insights, @mikah912!

Got a question, though: How well does this thing do in terms of kitchen sink presets? As some people may know, unless there's a global block functionality of some sorts (which really only exists on 2.5 units on the market, GT-1000, Axe FX and KPA (for the 0.5)), I never switch patches, so I'd have to get away with a kitchen sink preset for entire gigs. Just the way as I did with the Helix (which actually worked pretty well). Would the TMP be along the HX Floor lines in terms of CPU juice?
And does it offer enough proper control options to handle such presets? I was using a mixture of stomps and snapshots on the HX Floor, which was pretty decent (apart from some sort of issues). Anything comparable? Can you for example assign a switch to multiple functions without using scenes?

...yet 100% right :grin  :pickle
100% wrong.

What you've said is equivalent to saying that Tubular Bells isn't epic as fuck... and we all know it is. You're just being contrarian for the sake of it. Coz internet cool guy h8ter man is a great mask. Good job buddy!!!

Nice to see they’ve been steadily updating it. Fenders commitment to the digital space is cool and going to position them well moving into the laptop era.
