Yes. If you load two or more audio files to a song, it just adds those files as separate tracks. If you load a single audio file to a song, however, the Stadium editor gives you three options:
Stem splitting and analysis takes place on Yamaha's servers using their Music Connect service. As with all of these types of services, some tweaking may be required.
- Split Stems—Splits a stereo file into the following tracks/stems: Drums, Bass, Guitar, Vocals, and Other
- Tempo/Time Signature Analysis—Generates a tempo/time signature map using Time flags
- Song Section Analysis—Generates Marker flags at obvious song section changes (Verse, Chorus, etc.)
If you prefer a different stem-splitting service (say, one that can separate lead guitar from rhythm guitar or lead vocals from background vocals, which Music Connect does not currently do), you can also use Logic, Moises, iZotope RX11, LANDR, Lalal.ai, Fadr, etc. and drag the resultant stems to a new song (up to 8 stereo).
Fantastic thank you - I paid for mine yesterday so all I have to do now is wait and hope the ship experiences pleasant seas on the way….. Are we still going to be treated to more teaser videos in the next few weeks until they turn up? I hope so as I’ve enjoyed the build up so far.
