So, is Anderton's prematurely leaking a product launch again? I have not heard nor read anything about this new gadget anywhere.

Look, if i'm willing to give L6 a pass, i must abide by Headrush as well

Actually, there IS a new wrinkle with this one. According to the marketing blurb over at Sweetwater, this comes with "a smattering of Headrush Clones/SuperClones".

That's notable because even though the more expensive Headrush Prime and Core units can clone/profile/capture amps with that ancient, janky Revalver ACT technology, they ship with no cloned amp models whatsoever!

Not one.

This is for some insane reason exclusive to the cheapest member of the family?!?

Is "Superclone" some kind of a high-res capture?

Seems closer to what Poly is doing with NAM captures on the Ample -

With the Ample, they're not just taking 1 NAM Profile, they're doing multiple gained level NAM Profiles and then interpolating. Also, Ample is modeling the tone-stack (via circuit modeling)....which may be what they're doing here (except these guys don't use NAM of course)

No XLR out, which is what was needed. HR is a dead brand, there is no question about it.

Don't know about "dead". Guitar Center is happy to hock this stuff to casuals who need a guitar processor and like using a touchscreen. For these guitar players and casual musicians, Headrush and Tonemaster Pro look pretty fancy next to older Line 6 and BOSS units.

That's how they got the main guy in my band to buy it, and he uses the Core pretty much exclusively now. HX Stomp and a few other units are in his rehearsal room corner collecting dust.

With Superclone profiling, they may be closer to the amp / pedal modeling of other brands. And I dig the form factor on this one.

I'm sticking with DEAD.
