He takes a swing and he can’t hit!

It’s even easier to understand why people felt the way they did in the 1930s and 40s if you are aware of what happened prior to that. The Treaty Of Versailles guaranteed that another war would happen.
Oh I completely know. History is kind of one of my jams. Especially European, and German history..... family ties and all.

The book was just a take from the streets, the people who lived it.... after it all....and how they acted after everything, very unique perspective. Just thought people may be interested. One of the books I always recommend to history lovers....it is pretty obscure, and I loved it.

One thing I've learned by studying history; Humans have lived the same exact day, over and over again....forever. Nothing changes ..and stupid people will allow the most ridiculous things to happen ...just so they don't have to be bothered.

I have a question about the mix. And I've heard this with other bands. Motley Crue comes to mind.

After Dave clearly turns his guitar volume down, you can still hear all this other, higher-pitched, "noise", if you will. At first I thought it was the crowd, but then you can hear that also get turned off. Was it coming from FOH?

Whatever it is, it's like extra sounds pumped in to make a band sound fuller...? And listen to all that delay on the vocal mike.

It's like some bands have all this extra stuff being blended into the soundstage, and to me it sounds like mud. Navarro too. He's always gone too heavy on the delays. IMO

Do FOH techs pipe in extra shit? Not talking about tracks (which is probably what it is in Motley Crue's case. Recent MC.)
It might have been Perry's echo box he sings through. It looked like that's what Dave was unplugging when he went to the front/middle of the stage after the shit happened.

Tbh they should have canned his ass and moved on with a new singer decades ago

And if somehow Perry was the sole owner of the name Jane's Addiction, they could have created Dane's Addiction lol

I think he’s the face and sound of the band to the average listener, though.

Here is an awesome video of the Tampa show I was at. This guy got VIP tickets and was able to watch from behind the stage. Navarro is seen as a class act in the video. Talking to them, handing out picks, etc., you know, what an entertainer is supposed to do, lol...

Excellent on him! (y) (y) (y)

Kind of a distanced, non-apology.

I know some will disagree with me (and I’m fine with that), but I have no sympathy OR empathy for the guy. He’s 65 years old and still doesn’t have his shit together. The band had a chance to get the train rolling again, and he fucked it all up because he doesn’t care about anybody except himself.

Hahahah I mean, he literally said “I apologize” and “I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation”. I don’t think he needs to directly address the reasons for his “breaking point” because his actions said enough; no one with a clean bill of mental health does shit like that onstage. Doesn’t matter if it was drugs, booze, asshole-ism, super really bad meanie tinnitus, shitty mental health is at the root of it.

I mean, if he’s still running with the stage volume thing, then yeah, dude’s worse off than I’m assuming.

Yeah, but it bugs me when people never actually say "I'm sorry". I don't know, but it's not the same saying "it's only right that I apologize to my bandmates." In fact, he doesn't actually just say "I apologize," the wording he chooses before it sets up a distance between himself and actually apologizing.

And the phrase "my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behaviour" also distances himself from actually owning the behaviour and sets up a bit of an excuse for himself, even though he's claiming it's "inexcusable". And lastly, "I take full accountability... blah blah" sounds like it was written by a damage control/marketing employee.

Anyway, I'm picking it apart, and it is good he's at least offering something, but it's pretty weak, in my opinion.
