For the record: I never made a bag of popcorn and snuggled into the couch to watch any of Dave's TV shows.
Just tripped over them channel surfing and checked out a few minutes.

In all honesty, the guy is actually a natural MC - he's really good at it!

I can get past most things, even if they go out of their way publicly to "give us advise" on "important current matters", although admittedly -- quite a few have lost me in that respect. It's kind of a buzz kill listening to a great song and simultaneously thinking about how they think you're a scumbag.

You burning all your Taylor Swift swag now?

Perry Punched him too!!!

I know they have kind of always been this way, but Jesus.

I have been following them on this tour, via YouTube and chatter. Overall consensus is band is amazing, perry is perry..... inconsistent and generally a mess.

Looks to me that maybe this modern online chatter has gotten someone in the feelings.
🤷🏻‍♂️

Just sad.

Oh yeah, there was that punching part. Hey, I was watching it at 3 AM. :rofl

Nipple rings and black fingernail polish had way more effect on :wat than dumb fucking tv shows I never watched.

There was a great Black Keys line where Dan Auerbach was talking about presenting an award with Dave Navarro or something (forget what it was exactly) and he said, “I’m not sure where Dave Navarro was at that point, maybe backstage polishing his nipple rings…”. :rofl

Farrell's plastic surgery disaster of a face is super distracting. If we're talking about superficial shit that shouldn't bug us but does :ROFLMAO:

Love the music, but Farrell has always been a fruitcake.

His WTF interview with Marc Maron was a chore. I turned it off after about 15 minutes.

(And I have pretty high “fruitcake” tolerance, can listen to David Lee Roth for extended periods, for example, although not so much these days. :grin )

If I'm being honest, I liked their music but his vocals never appealed to me that much. I can only take them in small doses.
Yeah, they quickly go from "THIS SOUNDS LIKE RAGING AGGRESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!" of Mountain Song intro to "meh, this is a grating whine, actually..."

He did not have an easy start to life.

For sure.

I have absolutely nothing against the man. He's good looking, has charisma, and is well spoken - when celebrity came knocking with a big payday he very wisely took it.

I just don't consider him a 100% to the core rocker anymore between the People Magazine covers with Carmen Electra and then the reality show MC stuff.

"Reality TV" is garbage, but I've never understood how someone doing something unrelated to music devalues their musical output. Notes don't change.

Is that true for all art? Wouldn't you find it sort of strange in case someone collected Hitler's postcard drawings for their artistic value?
And no, this is not a trick question, because I absolutely find it to be a genuinely interesting thing to discuss about.

Farrell's wife wrote a post today about some specs behind this situation. Apparently, Perry has been upset that his vocals are getting drowned out by the other players on the stage, so he can not hear what he is singing. In addition to him having a bad week with his vocals (and who knows how much wine), things boiled over. At least, that is his wife's story! Personally, IDGAF, to me it is like watching a race and seeing a crash, extra drama, no extra charge ;~)) Sucks for the fans but then again, they did play 11 songs of their normal 14-16, so they did not miss much.
