But does he trash all electronics drum brands at the same time
No, but he had an endless list of reasons why he “can’t” make the purchase. Basically the same thing, really.

I used to be a quasi tire kicker. In some ways of my life, I still am. I prefer the word frugal. I just don't like letting go of the money. No, but he had an endless list of reasons why he “can’t” make the purchase. Basically the same thing, really.
Nothing wrong with that! Honestly that's better than just blowing money on gear non stopI used to be a quasi tire kicker. In some ways of my life, I still am. I prefer the word frugal. I just don't like letting go of the money.
I was bad about thinking, waiting, thinking, waiting, then I'd impulse buy something totally different than what I should've gotten in the first place.

I think you might have left a percent out.Reading what I missed, that band, unrehearsed, is better than 99% of the pundits complaining about them sounding bad. Every member of that band has more talent than most of us.
There's always some enlightened pro lurking--trust me--I've definitely had them pop out and be like: "SURPRISE!" --UHF meme for comedic effect.I think you might have left a percent out.

well it ain't meI have no doubt that there are at least one or two people on any given gear forum that are at the same level of musicianship.
If so I doubt someone at their level is out there criticizing them. There's always some enlightened pro lurking--trust me--I've definitely had them pop out and be like: "SURPRISE!" --UHF meme for comedic effect.
I have my doubts. Unless they’re keeping their identities on the down low.I have no doubt that there are at least one or two people on any given gear forum that are at the same level of musicianship.
Satch has the attitude, he's just different. Ed had more swing where Satch is less so that type of player (although Satch Boogie swings). Ed took his past influences to a new level, Satch took his into a totally different direction.I still stick by what I said earlier, Satch is fine, he just doesn't have the rock-and-roll attitude that Eddie did, and it's always going to feel that way in his playing--for lack of a better word, he's too perfect.

Yeah, this sounds like me too. Funny thing though, most of my biggest gear purchases have been recording or computer related. Guitars/amps -- I'm really quite conservative with my purchases. It would be very hard for me to justify at this point a 2K + guitar for the simple reason I like to change things a lot. A 'perfect' guitar might not be perfect to me a year later, so I mod it to some degree. So why should I spend 5K on something when I know my habits ? I'd consider something very special like an acoustic or vintage piece for that, but not a new, electric guitar. Not saying never but not likely these days.I take a similar approach it's not really a "price" thing per se but more how much I value something. I dont really have many hard numbers but I've never found a need to spend more than 1,000 dollars on a guitar and actually my 2 favorites cost me under 500 each. I have spent much more than that in the past on guitars and didn't experience anything I couldn't get with a few upgrades, and some of my time.
I got my like new custom Mark V 90 combo for 1200 bucks. I'd never spend what they are asking for a new one. I bought a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30R once upon a time (think I paid north of 2500 for it) and it didn't impress me at all. Now because of how I value things, if I'd have paid 500 for it, it might have impressed me. So I guess doing a quick psycho analysis of my gear buying habits and experiences, I must say to myself subconsciously "Does this sound/feel/play like it's worth xxx"?
There's a couple examples but it's how I think. I could do a hard "never over 1k for any one item" rule and do just fine.
As an FYI I'd sell the house and all my music gear if my wife needed a life saving surgery that our insurance didn't cover.
