Guitar Cabs And Speakers Are Important

For recording, I'm done using mic'd up cabs (playing live is a different story of course).

I just can get as good results using quality iRs and proper EQing, and I have a lot more speaker flavors and mics (virtually speaking) to pick from.

Axe 3 Di sounds are indistinguishable from amps in recordings and very quick and easy to set up without the need of a controlled environment to mike a cab. I like it all and use it all but a big stupid tube amp through a big stupid cab at big stupid volume is one of the best playing experiences you can have. In real world application I find myself using IRs far more these days.
