GT-1000 core, button setup?

I have to setup a GT1000 core, with three sounds basically, a clean, crunch and lead. Ideally, I'd also have three more that are the same but tuned a 1/2 step down. I have all the presets made, but not sure how I would assign them to the footswitches, can someone give some ideas?

I also have a full GT1000, but that one is a no brainer, normal tuning is one bank, 1/2 step is the next bank

Is there any way to directly assign three presets to the three buttons?

Save them in the order you want them? There's an editor that works offline you could use to check or look in the manual. I am just suggesting a methodology.

The manual has very little on the footswitch assignments, its starting to look like you can't actually assign specific patches to the pedals
