I’m not saying anything about the implementation. But I’ve been suggesting this would come.

Perhaps some hybrid combination of capture/modeling? AI in a pedal?

Hey, you never know. I'm sure many of us knew some hardware implementation "thing" like this would come before long.

I'm guessing it's an auto IR generator, what else could it really do? And I've tried a handful of "song specific IR's" and they're only in the general direction, at best.

I’m just getting more and more cranky with technology and guitars. When it gets to the point where Cliff retires, I’m just gonna stop playing guitar. Or buy a high-end acoustic. get off my lawn with your technology that you take a picture of an amp and it sounds like it in the box.
Or you could keep playing your FM9 😂

“Back in my day, everyone sounded different and unique because all you had was the B+ rail bias excursion parameter to tweak so everyone did it a little different. None of this copy cat ‘take a picture’ tone where all the kids sound the same today!”

Old man arguments never change, on the facts that get subbed into them. :rofl :beer

Should be interesting to see a working unit.

I wonder if the overall idea is to put a song into it, then it removes the other instruments to single out the guitar audio then matches that? If they can pull that off with amps AND effects, $300 isn’t bad at all and I’d probably snag one just for the novelty factor.

If it’s not that, I’d imagine it’s basically ToneX or a Nano Cortex with an audio input.
