Fryette Amp Reboot!!

Down hear springs and it's been snowing since Tuesday evening. If my Mark V could only melt snow, it can do everything else almost.

In Denver area it snowed nonstop from Tuesday night-through yesterday morning. Sun came out a bit yesterday then snow picked up again around 9 this morning and still going

Used to drive a truck down to the springs and 4 days a week and then west into the mountain towns, weather gets pretty wild once you hit monument hill lol

Almost like they are prepared for the arrival of something.

Wasn’t there 2 versions of this amp? I wonder which one its voiced after.

The pittbull? There was several actually. CL and UL were probably the longest standing but there was also the CLX and a few iterations with an S designation that were lower gain

Steve has been talking about releasing the updated versions of the Sig:X and the UL for literally years now. They will come out eventually and perhaps 2025 is the year.

Yup. Just nice to see the wheels in motion versus the mouths in motion. That's all.

I will sell my VH4 when that happens, to get an updated Sig:X.

I've got a non-eq UL so I'm curious what will be updated in the new one since steve seems against just selling existing models for some reason lol.

So now that we’ve seen the new Ultra-Lead in that video, let’s talk about the Pitbull series. I don’t know a thing about them. Would anybody mind going over the CL series and the Ultra Lead and what all the differences were?

No experience with the UL but from my understanding more gain and even tighter than the CL

I used a CL50 for several years and it was awesome, two channels that could be set from clean to high gain. Very tight “dry” in that the voicing wasn’t super saturated like say an Engl but still very brutal sounding. Tons of clarity too. It’s also probably the most touch sensitive amp I ever played. Doesn’t hide any mistakes and to get the most out of high gain sounds definitely want to dig in and right hand wrist is important. One time a friend plugged into mine on my high gain channel, he was not a metal player at all and it didn’t really sound high gain at all when he was playing it lol
