So no one cares there’s a Fryette badged GP3 by his wall mounted Variac setup???
That's kind of old news. There is one in this video from nine years ago.

Ha, I used to live in Pueblo, left and came back to California. In Denver area it snowed nonstop from Tuesday night-through yesterday morning. Sun came out a bit yesterday then snow picked up again around 9 this morning and still going
Used to drive a truck down to the springs and 4 days a week and then west into the mountain towns, weather gets pretty wild once you hit monument hill lol
Yes the LXII was announced every year for about six years.Fryette makes fantastic stuff. But they're EXTREMELY slow to come out with new gear.
They also took people’s money with a Kickstarter for the GP/DI, and then took well over a year to actually deliver.Yes the LXII was announced every year for about six years.
I don't actually think that is a particularly unreasonable time frame for product delivery. It takes time to finalize designs, secure suppliers for the BOM, and do the manufacturing. These are not things that can just come together in a month or two. They also took people’s money with a Kickstarter for the GP/DI, and then took well over a year to actually deliver.
It is when they kept making promises, and missing deadlines.I don't actually think that is a particularly unreasonable time frame for product delivery. Also, the GP/DI is truly amazing. I play mine more than any of my other tube amps because it is perfect for low volume use and it has a built in reactive load for use with an effects processor and monitors / headphones / direct recording. The only thing I don't particularly love is the onboard analog cab / mic sim. It is high quality for what it is, but it falls flat for anything other than clean tones IMO. The new version that they've got in the works with the built in IR loader should solve that issue.

I stand corrected; I just asked a friend that took part in the Kickstarter, and she said it took years. On top of that it is now broken.I agree that is unprofessional. They should have set realistic expectations.

It was great in the 1980's, something went wrong.Tbh, I'd probably leave Pueblo too
It was great in the 1980's, something went wrong.
It died when the Iron Industry faded.
I went back in the 90's, lots of jobs then.
I wonder how it is now ?
My ancestors were from that area, when we divided from the Utes, back in the 1500's.It feels... bleak... anytime I've been there recently. I could also just be a stuck up judgmental denverite
A lot of my Italian ancestors lived in Cañon City and Pueblo area around the late 1800s/early 1900s. My grandmother grew up in Cañon City
The Valvulator 1 was great. It gave any amp the VHT/ Fryette kick.
I wonder why they stop making it ?
Lots of people claimed that the Valvulator 1 had issues with the 1/4 amp fuse blowing out. Just incase, I'm opening it up to drop in a 1/2 amp fuse.It could be any number of reasons. Lack of demand, the fact that the GP/DI and the GP3 incorporate the same core functionality, or even perhaps even the limitation of being a small company where they need to decide which products to prioritize for production.
It’s 1/4 amp for a reason. You should ask customer support before you do that but I am sure they will say don’t.Lots of people claimed that the Valvulator 1 had issues with the 1/4 amp fuse blowing out. Just incase, I'm opening it up to drop in a 1/2 amp fuse.
I never had issues, I've owned mine since late 2001 and the second one in 2002.
