Fractal Talk

I discovered the 1x12 Scholz dynacab last night, and wow it sounds good. Gives me elements I like about the 12L, but a little friendlier.
From The Other Page...

Alan said several times that Scholz Sugarcones were his favorite speakers with Carol Ann Amps. They are rare but there are a few floating around occasionally. I sold the one I had here on the forum a few months ago. It sat here listed for several months which was surprising to me.
> Caroll Ann Amps: That still hasn't changed. The original was the best speaker ever. Period !!!

I had never seen this interview, BTW. What a nice guy Alan seems to be! And an EE way more advanced than I would have thought. I suspect he inspired Cliff on a few aspects (like the Scholz?) and/or that Cliff consults him on some ideas (and the other way around).

After a long week of not getting mad at anyone at work, despite multiple attempts at breaking that record, I’m gonna go home, plug my FM9 into my Fryette and 4x12 while my neighbor has been staying at her boyfriend’s house and crank the fuck out of it, basking in the glory of Mesa Mark’s, various Marshall circuits and lush delays and reverbs that cannot be found anywhere else in a single package and there shall be no complaints, no wants, no needs, just awesomeness coming out of pushed speakers.

Nice! That'll be fun!

I get to stay home tonight, too. Auditioning Tele amps at the moment and settled on the High Power
Tweed Twin. For now. Also tried the Trainwrecks, Dr. Zs (wish there were more offered---sorry for wanting! :facepalm ),
a few other Fenders, and the Voxes.

Super cool and so blessed to have such a Compendium of Every Great Tone Ever (mostly!) in such a convenient and
easy to use package.

After reading several threads gushing about the Class-A 30W Brilliant, I finally tried it out, and what do you know.......:chef

The Black Magik 1x12 is cool for Fender cleans with a P12Q Jensen.

I am starting to use the Black Magik for almost everything. Specially high gain leads with sweet mids and without harsh high frequencies. Paired with Wrecker Liverpool.

I suspect that 4x12 cabs were created just to fight with the drummer and to be heard in large stages, but sonically they are seriously fucked up :rofl

FM3/FM9 engineer hasn't been online on the forum for more than 3 weeks, so he's either sick, on vacation or very busy working on something else.

This thread's title is "Fractal stalk", right? 😎
He's been assigned to a new project. FM3/9 development is now being handled by a new hire. The new guy is still getting up to speed but he's very smart and making good progress.
