None of my presets ever break, do I notice a difference , yes and it's often times subtle other times more so, I yet to see any of my patches or any amp sound terrible because of an update

NAM will add more than just amp captures, and keep in mind that it is still rapidly developing. What NAM will be able to do for the Axe4 when it comes out is more than what it can do today, and NAM is very likely to keep growing in capability over the life of the hardware.

Literally two days with the AM4, and I'm reminded how completely unnecessary captures are.

I (…) prefer modeling by a wide margin.

I don’t find captures necessary either, and also prefer (Fractal’s) modeling.

But I still like captures too!

I think captures, especially the ML stuff, is fascinating, and it's fun to experiment with. But I'm not in the "die-hard" category, don't care if it shows up, and don't want it to slow other advancements down in favor of it.

I know others make good caps but my brain just doesn't work that long term as far as what I will actually use.

It escapes me why anyone would want NAM inside a Fractal product that's prized specifically for its not-NAM modelling, also when they can get a NAM thing each and every way they look.

I prefer the dynamics of capturing over modeling, but still like Fractal effects and signal routing.

I moved from Kemper to Fractal and prefer modeling by a wide margin.

This has very much been my experience, too. I still use certain things in the Kemper, but the Fractal has exposed, for me, the pointlessness of captures.
