So, stupid FM3 question. If I use the FM3 as an interface, there's nowhere I can plug in a single balanced cable and get a stereo out, right? I have to use both OUT 1 or OUT 2 L *and* R, correct? I couldn't figure this out when I got it so I just said fuggit and plugged it into my Fireface so I could monitor in stereo from Reaper through headphones without running L/R to a mixer and monitoring from there. I'm revisiting this now but it still looks like either I can't do this, or it's something so blindingly obvious that I'm looking past it.

(I know this isn't a perfect setup in terms of conversion stages but it doesn't matter for my use case.)

I mean there's the headphone out, but that's a copy of output 1 L/R - you probably would have to lower the level to avoid clipping your input.

A balanced cable and a three conductor stereo cable are essentially two entirely different things, though in many cases the cable itself will work in either application. I believe what you're looking for is a stereo line out from a single TRS jack, which is what the headphone out is.

Thanks, saw this and I figured it out - in Reaper I have to route both the right and left channels individually for the master. Appreciated!
