Fractal Talk

Can confirm there’s a noticeable boost there. Not a ton and its always felt more like a side effect than a feature TBH.

If you use lead channel with the lead drive relatively low, like 4-5, then kick R2 in, you've got either a more cutting version of R2 or a fatter, growlier version of lead.

The IIC++ mod is pretty much ONE CAP.

Helix sold! 😈

This is my plan, analog pedals before my amp and the VP4 for post-Suhr RL:

I want to keep the pre effects analog and pedal driven, I don't want to use the VP4 for a drive, or for a noise gate pre-amp, or any of the such. It is only for post amp FX. A drive pedal is necessary for me, I want a noise gate solution pre amp (especially with my Hollowbody), and I want a tuner to be the first thing my guitar signal hits. Lol why is that strange?

Imo while the pre effects (especially drives) are certainly passable in fractal. The post effects are where the $$$$ is at.

It would be cool if they could incorporate dynacabs down the line

The ability to load IRs is a huge deal IMO. This makes it a much more attractive device for use with acoustic guitar (or other acoustic instruments) where you want to load a tone match IR.
I tried it a few hours ago. its a killer implementation! now, you can virtually use the VP4 for a full gig as a stand alone unit.
