Yeah I could rattle off a handful that I would be seriously pumped up to have added, but it’s not like any given one would move the needle drastically at this point. They energize the userbase though, which is a good thing.

I’d love to get a Badlander model to just try it out, given how well regarded it is around here.

I’m afraid to list amps I’d want added for fear that they are already there and I haven’t found them yet in the massive list.

Also; new amps are always great. But the things I would be suggesting at this point are things that other people could yell at me for ("playfully") like I'm doing right now about amps we really don't need.

What setting do I need to tweak to make the 2203 model more “explosive” when hitting the strings?

I’ve been messing with the output compression parameters in the amp block like the gain enhancer. Any other things to try? In the power supply parameters perhaps?

preamp gain lower, lower the bright cap value, boost with a pedal/drive the front end harder. MV low, drop the NFB and crank presence (and don’t be shy with treble either).

I’m pretty much there at those settings.

I was just messing with the B+ Time Constant didn’t really hear or feel a difference.

I got an idea!

The FAS- Fractal Audio Suppository. Once your unit maxes out on whatever and you can't store a new high gain purple stepchild nightmare, you load something you don't use into the FAS and shove it up yer ass until you need it again.

Could also just call it a repository and it'd probably be more fitting (unless it were shaped like a brick).

Every day I'm closer and closer to deleting every IR out of my AxeFX and off my computer. At this point I could keep a couple bass cab IR's and never think about a single one again. I wasn't even that thrilled with the idea of DynaCabs originally and figured it'd be something I'd use occasionally. Not having to A/B IR's ever again is fucking GREAT.

I am all Dyna Cabs all the time now. Was a big fan of the LT (Leon's) TV MIx IR, and a couple of
cool Lynchback IRs from Ownhammer..... but yeah.... the Dyna Cabs sound F'ing great and eliminate
pretty any and all second-guessing for me.

It's fun as hell dialing in that "sweet spot" with the Virtual Microphone, too.

Actually, I can't say I haven't loaded an IR in forever. Almost every preset I've shared over at FAS has had a 3-party IR, so I generally made a version of the preset with LT's TV Mix just to make it easier for other's to use.

The York Mesa 4x12 DynaCab pack is an absolute godsend. Took me a while to get used to how it sounded a bit thinner than Justin's previous Oversized 4x12 pack but this version has a sort of visceral immediacy that I've been missing from other IRs. I've bought like 15-20 different Mesa IR packs over the years and this one seriously takes the cake.
