Fractal Talk

Just descovered the IR tool. I have gotten nothing else done today.

Yay. Finally got a way to hook up the zoia and vp4 how i want it thanks to someone on fractal forum telling me.

Basically outputs 3 on fm9 goes into inputs of zoia then outputs of zoia into inputs of vp4 and outputs of vp4 into IN3 on fm9.

And IN2 will have my boss vg800 and boss gm800.

Now just to find some sort of little switcher pedal that i can put between the zoia and vp4 to route them before or after each other quickly!

I could get a bored brain patchulator again but i want a quicker pedal or switch option!

Ok got my set up done and happy now :D

Boss vg-800 and boss gm-800 into fm9 IN2 and zoia into vp4 and into fm9 IN3
Just need to find a cheap switcher type pedal I can switch the order of zoia > vp4 or vp4 > zoia

Wish I had one more fx loop for my tempera and ableton move though :( and yes that means I'd have to upgrade to axefx3 and that ain't happening lol.

And my source audio hot hand 3 expression ring controller came today and works great with fm9 :D

One thing that I can't figure out is say I have OUTPUT3 > INPUT 3 with my effect pedal going in there... Say i want to bleed some of my guitar signal in with that effect, how? Helix was able to do this with their fx loops by turning down send/return mixes but on this I don't see a way to do it.

If you are feeding your guitar signal through OUT 3, into the outboard pedal then back into IN 3; that should be it. I assume that effect has a mix knob and it's not at 100% so you're not getting 100% wet from it?

My normal guitar is in input 1.

I have out3 stereo on fm9 going out into zoia stereo inputs, stereo outputs from zoia into stereo inputs on vp4, stereo outputs from vp4 into L/R IN3 on FM9 and output 3 knob all the way up for unity (this direction/info is what i was told to do and manual says as well). This is acting as a FX LOOP.

The zoia effect was 100% wet yes, but on helix they had send/return mix options where you could turn down some of the effect and mix your guitar signal in with it but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that on fractal.
