Fractal Talk

Anyone have all 300+ fm3 and axefx3 presets in single files? Apparently fm9 won't accept either one when it comes to just a allbank file. Only will load single .syx presets. I'd like to get them too. I know the fm3's will work, but I'd like to see how many of the axefx3's would work as well.

I think you should be able to use the Preset Manager in Axe-Edit (or FM9 edit) and point it to a bank and you can then "quickly audition presets within a bank" too IIRC.

Ah yes you are right. I can drag and drop any of the banks or the entire allbank file from axefx3 or fm3 onto the preset name area and it'll load the banks! Thanks!

FM9-Edit 1.03.10 is now available via auto-update or from our website:

Dang that is gorgeous stuff!! Definitely going to have to play with these ideas. I am surprised i haven't ran across a single freeze type block out of the 1,700+ blocks I have so far (less than that once i remove the doubles and triples lol and probably closer to 1,000)... unless I missed it somehow.

Ok I made a "freeze" block for my jazz preset I was making on my FM9 Turbo MKII. Should work fine for fm3/fm9/axefx3. I was trying to go for that old school dry and darker sounding ehx freeze type sound. You have to use a expression pedal in ext 1 / pedal 1 for the reverb mix and stack / hold, or change the modifiers to whatever pedal input you have to turn the freeze on/off! This works best in parallel as the name suggests. Change the mix parameter if the value is too high for you.

COOL TIP: You can stack notes / chords as well by parking the expression pedal at half way and then just stack notes or chords one at a time and then once done put the expression pedal all the way toe down to keep it frozen there! You can also slightly bring them in with a small volume swell by parking the expression pedal halfway then hit a note or chord then put the expression pedal all the way toe down and then back off halfway and hit another note or chord and repeat.

I'll copy my block parameters over to VP4 soon too so people can have it on VP4.

Now go add a nice freeze block to any of your presets :D

I was trying to go for a vibe like this

@Alex Kenivel great deal on fc-6 MKII just came up too - https://reverb.com/item/89523022-fc-6-mark-ii-foot-controller-2025

EDIT: It sold now.
Thanks for being my new drug dealer :clint

That FC-12 is mighty tempting but I think the 6 is the size for me. I've already got a used MkII secured with Fractal exp pedal, custom flat board and soft case, will get it around Memorial Day weekend.

Yeah 6 seems very comfortable. I keep thinking about the fc-12 but then I keep thinking i can already do everything it does anyway when you get it set up the way you like with layouts etc.. So 12 is only good for less switching back and forth type thing and have more laid out in front of you but at home 6 is fine!
