Fractal Talk

It "emulates" the input impedance of the first device in the chain (in the virtual Fractal signal chain), the guitar has it's own output impedance...
Yes, you are correct... I was thinking backwards.

To be clear, it is the input impedance of the first active block after the Input 1 block and on the same grid row (or any row below) as the Input 1 block.

And not all blocks are evaluated, such as the Multiplexer.

Blocks Huh

But then what’s the point of the variable input impedance?
Setting the input impedance to a static 10k makes fuzzes behave like fuzzes. The Fuzz Face may not “clean up just like the pedal” but it cleans up, and has the right amount of high end roll off to sound like a fuzz pedal.

To the extend a real fuzz pedal’s input impedance is non-linear, it is still in the general ballpark of 10k.

I am trying to get a jazz box type semi-hollow sound out of this jazz preset I am making with my kiesel zeus in middle pickup with tone rolled off a little and doing hybrid picking (fingers and picks)... Do you think it's close?

Agreed. Roll off the tone knob a helluva lot more.

It's halfway down right now. I don't like it so dark and muddy though. I was going more for a semi-hollow sound with a woody vibe, but I like some brightness to shine through with pick attacks...

I'm just using 2x12 jazz chorus. I wonder if I used a acoustic cab IR, it would make it more woodier.
