I really need to get more into the effects block library stuff… I haven’t really messed with that. I’ve saved a few things of my own, but probably don’t take advantage of it as much as I should.

D

My FAS BLOCK LIBRARY says "1,213 Files, 117 Folders"

Cut it down by a little due to duplicates from different firmwares though.

Am I addicted lol.

Modeling gear is a great antidote to boredom. When I am sick of playing all of the same riffs through my normal presets I can always flip through some factory presets or axe change and find entertainment / new inspiration there. Ideally, I would spend that time learning a new song, but sometimes I lack the necessary motivation.

Do you have @2112 ’s blocks yet? Another treasure trove.

Did you already go down the IR sinkhole? Perhaps an order of magnitude bigger time waster.

Lol nah. I have never been one to go down the IR hole for cabinets etc. However I have been collecting reverb IR's off and on for years (have thousands and thousands of those lol) even though I don't have a convolution loader now lol. I've used helix for 9 years and never used IR's with it lol. I always just used the stock cabs.

Is there any way to engage/bypass a block in Axe Edit when it's assigned to an external controller?

I don't always have my MIDI controller plugged in and get a denial message when trying to turn on my reverb block.

Welcome to the world of "absolute stupidity with Fractal external controllers".

There's no technical reason why external controllers must block every other input method.

Instead of assigning the controller to the bypass button of the block, assign the CC in the MIDI setup page to the corresponding block (and turn on scene ignore in the block)

I did a big overhaul and tidy up for the paid versions to keep them in sync with current FW. Most of the over free stuff should still work but amps/comps/multidelays/verbs will be different.

Where are your latest and greatest block libraries? I’m still using the ones you dropped a couple years ago, but if you’ve got a new stash I’d love to try them out.
