I played the Easter set (seven songs) at church yesterday using a modified version of the factory ODS-100 preset. I added some song specific effects and dialed in the delay, reverb, and comp settings but left the core amp and cab settings untouched. I loved how the top end was bright without being shrill (which has sometimes been a struggle with my typical choice of the 50W plexi models).

That amp kills. I crank the master and use the 412 rumble cab. I think I brought the sag up a little too.

I don’t use a “typical” dumble sound with it, I go a lot brighter than what people associate with typical dumble I think. It’s very responsive to how you play with a nice top end, plenty of mids that are in a nice place, and a bottom end that has heft and fullness without getting tubby. Basically, it’s like my cranked plexi sound but with a more solid bottom end that sounds better for single note work than the plexi without a giant pedal in front of it.

Alls I can say is maybe you guys didn't notice this, but I love my Fractal FM9, it inspires me, it brings a smile to my face
It's simply amazing, and no I'm not a fanboi

:headbang :pickle :headbang

Same here. Just used it to record a pretty darn versatile series of tones across an entire album. I'm still rocking the OG one, and I see no reason to look elsewhere for my main gigging tool.

Same. I haven't played or enjoyed guitar playing as much as I have been with my fractal fm9 in a long time! It just makes it inspiring and fun again!

I forgot he does have gumroad and they are there too!

However both seem like past firmwares still unless he's talking about somewhere else lol

Are these updated @2112 ?

Yes, updated for FW 28.04 on the Axe-Fx III which means they'll work with the latest FM9 beta too.

VP4 blocks library update will come this week for FW 2.

I try not to linger on block library stuff for too long because it's an editor/PC-exclusive feature, and it just reminds that it's the last chasm Fractal needs to cross for this current generation of units to be truly unstoppable. If the next gen ever gets an interface that makes it easy to create presets on the fly AND gives you on-unit access to block library/presets....it's a wrap.

My main use for the block library is fast shifting of specific blocks and channels from one preset to another at a specific moment in time.

Otherwise the pace of evolution of the firmware and my inability to keep a block library up to date with that pace means stuff in my library gets stale pretty fast to the point where I totally forget if it'll work any more or not.

Can someone tell me what these symbols mean?

The blocks with || before and after name doesn't seem to work for me.

But what does the solid block inside of a block mean and what does the 4 solid blocks mean?

Also what does the (1) and (2) mean? I thought maybe different versions of them but so far haven't hear a difference between them?

Is there a RTFM for this lol
