Fractal Talk

Almost all my bass tracks are using the VC. I’ve been keeping it in standard or drop D and going down a step with the VC. And this is down a whole step with the VC, it can keep up with all those tight ass palm mutes that I could barely keep up with!

That's awesome! Have you tried a bass VI though? They're fantastic for guitarists.

I DO want to get one of those to fuck around with. I’m surprised the djent kids haven’t just started using them. I can just imagine the walls of big ass guitars I could layer up using one of those. I don’t spend too much time down that low, A-standard on a ā€œnormalā€ guitar is about as low as I’m interested in, I’d want something ā€˜not normal’ to go lower. Even considering that 26.5ā€ Solar 7, I probably wouldn’t bother going lower than A.

I've got the original, non-multiscale one, and you can pry it from my cold, dead hands. It's an amazing instrument, and since it uses actual bass pickups, seems to sound more bass-like to me than a Fender version.

I'm in the process of building out a baritone guitar. My winter break project. I have no idea how I'll use it. But I think it'll be a cool addition to the arsenal.

Has anyone ever used the virtual capo to tune a step down? is it as good as say dropping the tuning on your guitar?
asking cause there will be a few songs id like to do in Eb but dont want the hassle of re adjusting the guitar everytime
so if the VC is indistinguishable i might go that route

:beer

There's a Factory Preset that does that, and it is EVH based. Check out Preset #33 Brown Sound
Scene 3. Then you can hear how it sounds in EVH land. That Brit Brown Amp Model is :chef too.

:headbang

Hell to the yeah! :beer

One of my commitments this week is to implement the VC into a few Presets so I
can use it with the band. My friend had his Helix all setup (finally put aside that
Headrush Prime Poop Machine) and was going down to drop C (whole step like you)
and it sounded great. I have to get on the ball and use the Pitch Block to do that
so we can play some more material in the proper tuning. :banana

I am guessing you put it before the Amp, Drew. Right after the Input?? That's how I have my
Whammy DT setup on my pedalboard. :idk

I actually put it first, right after the Input block. I’m sure it’s fine in other areas, but superstition makes me want to put it before any effects or anything else that could go into it that could ā€˜confuse’ the signal. I have zero evidence that can happen, that’s why it’s superstitious. :ROFLMAO: And I think you can set the Input in the Pitch block to Input 1 like the noise gate?

What’s blown me away is non-ironic mullets coming back. Just met with a group of contractors yesterday to start bidding out an office build and I thought one of them was Theo Von.
