Dusted off my FM3 and installed the 10.0 beeta, and now I’m torn between building some streamlined presets in it to have an even more portable rig to haul to rehearsals, or…

Throwing that fucker in a loop on my FM9T and kicking everything up a notch.

Completely missed the last couple releases for Axe FX 3, neat that there's an MXR Badass OD in there now!

I got one of these pedals last year and didn't like it all that much. Now messing around with the virtual version to confirm lol.

Yes, better triode algorithm equals improved amp feel and tone, compressors and reverbs much improved (especially the springs and shimmer/echo-verbs), though the costs are CPU use, and currently scene, channel, and patch change times at minimum near >78% CPU (which used to work fine in previous interations).

So, if you have the CPU bandwidth, it's certainly a obvious improvement IMO, though in my case my kitchen sink preset was too sluggish so I went back to 9.3b.

Hopefully some optimazations will happen going forward to improve performance near the CPU limit?

So, if you have the CPU bandwidth, it's certainly an obvious improvement IMO, though in my case my kitchen sink preset was too sluggish so I went back to 9.3b.

With gapless switching it’s pretty easy to break down the kitchen sink presets into two or three manageable ones.

@FractalAudio Hopefully this settles the 410H thing conclusively, aside from the mystery of why your amp is different.

If you were to have your amp serviced by Marshall they’d be putting it to stock values. Hopefully this is all helpful!
