I agree, except that NDSP sucks and S-Gear is awesome.S-Gear is several leagues below anything made by UAD, Fractal, Neural DSP, Mercuriall, etc in my opinion. NDSP and Mercuriall both have several offerings aimed at lower gain (UAD Paradise, NDSP Morgan, Wong, Tone King Imperial, Mayer, Mercuriall have bassman+blues JR, Mixwave have a Two Rock, JHS, Tweed Deluxe).

It’s fine, some people like Reaper and Linux tooI agree, except that NDSP sucks and S-Gear is awesome.![]()

Was trying to find an example of Reaper’s UI quirks and stumbled on this page which absolutely NAILS my grips with Reaper:
Things that I really dislike about Reaper
Reaper isn’t all roses and sunshine. Even though it’s chocked full of neat features and more, there’s some ugly warts. I’m going to go through the things that h...www.admiralbumblebee.com
The stuff in the article articulates it all so well - the issue isn’t just skins, it’s the menus, the naming conventions, how things are organised and presented. Nicer skins don’t address the issues with the software.I think if Reaper would just skin their plugins to match the look of the main window, many of the complaints would go away.
Fucking dad rock nonce! You think reverb in front of a distorted amp is good. who had explosive diarrhea in yours?![]()
Excuse me sir, my taste in music is nothing short of amazing.Fucking dad rock nonce!
If you played country or loved Fender why wouldn’t you just need Fender amps ?Meh, Reaper was weird for the first year moving off ProTools, now going back to PT or (shudders) Ableton or (shits pants) Logic they all have their bullshit. One thing Reaper has rarely ever done was crash because of Reaper, and I haven’t had a single issue for a couple years now once I got rid of the herpes that is Waves plugins. Pick your poison, build your tolerance, lol.
On Topic: while I have no doubt ICONS has great sounds, I personally think the “all x brand of amps modeled” thing devalues the product for me if that $299 included amps from various categories I’d consider it, but why the fuck would I need JUST Fender amps?
