Looks like NDSP stuff wants -13dBFS as the reference, what should the Helix be? I see the way to find it on the first post, but we shouldn't even need to do that, just feed a tone in and make sure its the right level

it’s all in the thread. NDSP=1Vp=0.707V RMS=-13dBFS=12.2dBu

Helix Native = 11.5dBu

Do you know if the plugins use the same modeling engines as the hardware? I'm assuming potentially no if you can't port them over to the hardware?

This is our "pseudo-skeuomorphic" approach that we are using for new products. There are hints of skeuomorphism but not fully skeuomorphic. Your brain sees enough visual cues to understand the lineage of the amp but without the clutter of a full skeuomorphic implementation.

It sounds like fractal 100% :) I don't know the inside details or anything but it sounds amazing. As for cross compatibility between plugin and units, the plugin uses a different structure and not .syx for presets. The plugin uses .fasxp for presets.

The modeling is a direct port from the hardware code-base.

Id still prefer to just have an actual value and dial it directly in on my interface which is what I do with Neural and UA Plugins and also why I pretty much hate using Tonex
