Fractal Audio Systems VP4 - Virtual Pedalboard

I made this for the vp4 based on the GR-300 preset that I found and used in my video for the fm9. It's close but obviously I can only work with 4 blocks instead of 9, so I chose the 4 blocks that was the most important in shaping the tone which was drive - synth - drive - delay/reverb and in the vp4 I used plexdelay as the delay/reverb. I recommend using neck pickup on the guitar for a thicker tone and if your guitar is too bright then roll off that tone knob!

Video of me using the GR-300 preset on my fm9 turbo mkII, but I tried to get a close match for the vp4 version!

Are you related to me? Are we now the block brothers?

Ok here is the pitch glitch delay block for VP4 that I made and also created for fm9/fm3/axefx3....

I was going for that chase bliss mood / red panda tensor pitch glitch delay thing!

This is in stereo and obviously works best after your amp/cab as it's basically a delay.
I mean you can put it in front but it won't be stereo then!

Man, I have real 1st world problems at the moment.

Last 3 or 4 rehearsals, I've not even touched my VP4. Just been using the DD500, DM101, and RV-5 !!!

:idk

What's the analogue mode in the dd500 like vs the dm101? I've been using a DM2 and Deep blue delay for all my rehearsals for a while now. I do miss having some modulation on the delays though.

I like both, but they do sound different. The dd500 is not quite as .. well... I dunno, I feel like the clocking noise and saturationn aspects are more 3D and "real" with the DM101 than the dd500.

Both do great modulation!

If you forced me to pick, I'd go DD500 simply because there is so much control. The tape delays with some additional EQ treatment can get very BBD as well.

I've been watching a lot of videos and reading the manuals for the dd500, dd200, vp4 and SA Collider.
I think the DD200, RV200 paired with my DM2 will get me all the sounds I want with a work flow that suits me better than the other options. I know the 500 has a lot more parameters you can adjust but the simplified layout of the 200 probably suits my brain better.

Just be aware- for most of the 200-series pedals, once you save a preset there is no way to know what the settings of that preset are. I think the EQ and IR are the only ones with that ability. I found it a rage-inducing experience, YMMV.

That's crazy. That would be a definite deal breaker, I'll have to look into that. Why would they do that?
