Fractal Audio Systems VP4 - Virtual Pedalboard

It's here! After playing with it for a while, I'm convinced they've improved the reverbs quite a bit since I sold the FM3. I could get a realllly nice Vangelis brass thing going.

None more black, it sucks in all the light:

Okay, I absolutely love the quality and quantity of FX here as well as the amount of control you have over almost everything. But...

fas pls hire a UI/UX guy. The knob ballistics are worse than HX, you don't need to treat the entire range of values equally (no one needs .02 granularity in a reverb time range of like 20-100 seconds) and the encoders could be clickable for easier navigation

Turn fast for wide range, turn slow for fine control.

It's more of a parameter weighting issue, and I totally agree.
Well, as long as it's better than the Boss SY-300 I had where it took several hours of knob turning to go from min to max. I'm fairly tolerant of clunky usability and it's definitely not a deal breaker, but it's annoying none the less.

that blows.

Shit that sucks dude.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I was moving things around for a pedal I have coming next week, was excited to have it set up for band practice. Was going to try controlling my HX One along with changing the channels on my MKVII (which I've already been doing).

I'm surprised how cheap and fragile the little plastic input rings are on the VP4. The guy at the Fractal forum said his broke after plugging stuff in/out a total of four times.

Oh man, that thing is tiny. Is that basically headphone mini jack? 1/4” would have been ideal but they could have at least made the thing out of metal. Even the stomp has actual midi jacks.
