I'm currently thinking about pairing it with a Plethora X3, a Morningstar MC8pro, a drive and a fuzz (all stuff laying around) but then it's a complete pedalboard build again.

How exactly does one update firmware on a mac? I have the new firmware and the new AM4 Edit. AM4 Edit is connected to the AM4 and working - but it can't seem to locate the firmware that is also download on the mac.
Is there a specific folder that I need to copy the FW to?

I usually put it on desktop
Then open Fractal Bot in AM4 edit select browse locate it and click

Download the Fratal Bot utility, if you've not got it installed already https://www.fractalaudio.com/fractal-bot/.
Then browse for the file to "send" to the connected AM4 device from within Fractal Bot..

Since you already have it downloaded on your computer, just open AM4 edit, go to the tools menu and launch Fractal Bot (top of the menu).
Then while in the "Send" section click "Browse" and navigate to the firmware on your computer. Most likely the Zip file is in your Download folder. Double click on the Zip file and the folder will unzip in your downloads folder. The file is in the folder along with a pdf of the version updates. Do a search for AM4 if you still can't locate it.
When you see the file in the Browse dialog, just click Begin in the next section and it will go.
Had no issues on my old Mac Mini.

I actually prefer the standalone bot, because I already had it installed and thus didn't need to bother installing the editor I would never use

Just got info via mail from g66 about the EU waitlist. Seems that the current shipment is now sold out and they are expecting the next one in early March. I just sold off my other digital units and it looks like I’ll be waiting for a bit until it’s Fractal time over here!
