Mine's still got plastic on the screen. $1500?
I just made an offer for $500 on the one I posted where he's asking $1150. Just to be a dick.

I'm all for this but Reverb is full of people who low-ball anyway it probably isn't needed![]()

I might be missing the thrust of what you're getting at, but each section of a "thing" usually requires a different user presentation. For example.... an EQ graph, versus a distortion. You wouldn't want to control a distortion with a graph, and you wouldn't want to control an EQ with 16 knobs. To me the biggest issue is that it's not consistent. It can be list - knobs - knobs - sliders - list - graphs - list type things where each view requires just that little bit of extra processing in your head.
The number of listings on Facebook marketplace that are just the name of the device and IYKYK is so dumb. I guess I'm just supposed to know what the condition is, etc.?I KNOW WHAT I'VE GOT
I ain't got no toppers, unfortunately...Dave Lewis lookin at that box

$200 off of new for a used device with no warranty isn’t “low balling”.I'm all for this but Reverb is full of people who low-ball anyway it probably isn't needed![]()

Ok, so first impressions.
User interface
- It's pretty easy to get confused by the different switching modes as you scroll through the Home screen. I'm sure I get more used to them with time. Mostly just used Effects and Amp modes, whereas with past Fractal products it was always Scenes.
Yeah that's a really cool way to run these units, especially if you have a Morningstar controller.Sounds familiar. I struggled with that too, at first, but it did grow on me. Now I have delegated preset switching to an external MIDI switch. This lets me stay in Effects Mode while switching presets.

It really annoys me when I open up software - or hardware displays - and everything is treated exactly the same. It is a huge usability issue to pretend that just because under the hood all of your controls plumb into the same ValueTree system, that this means they're the same. They're simply not.
If you're arguing that a graphic equaliser should be knobs, because the rest of the UI is, and you've got the horn for consistency... then sir, I do declare you are a crack addict, and you've had one too many speedballs with Uma Thurman.
Ask @DrewJD82 - he should be an expert by now!BUT HOW IN THE ^!&!(#(*&!)(@*&$)(@&*^(*!&@#&*)!($@!*(&!)(*&!@)(*&$)#(*&@#$$#@#@!(*&@#)(@#*(&_!@)(#$&(#@*&#)!@(#*&$!@#_)(&$#)(@#!(*&$!_&*()#_!(*&##)@(& DO YOU CHANGE PRESETS VIA MIDI!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I kid, I kid...)
(...though perhaps too soon)
Agreed. The Helix editors are a great example of a really sucky "everything is a slider" UI. I was using Helix Native for something last night and it's really lame.
