1000 watt Class D amp?Still underpowered
Hopefully not HISS-SONICIt will be neat to see if they redesigned the preamp. Flat should be noon, no noise.
It's the quietest "1000 watt" amp I've ever heard. At least the Fender. It has volume but nowhere near where that number would suggest imo.1000 watt Class D amp?
That’s the first thing I thought. One of the reasons I was holding out on the Fender FR-12 were the cosmetics. I prefer something neutral looking. Remove the badges and it’s perfect.I absolutely would have bought this on looks alone. Still underpowered and the Hypersonic badge would have to go because dumb name is dumb. Conversion says $596.47.
EVH tax.Just a rehoused FR-12, right? And then upcharged an extra 2 fitty?!![]()

I think @Lysander knows a more realistic number, and perhaps more importantly, that the speaker power rating suggests it would be as carbonized as a cup of Starbucks coffee if anything close to 1000 watts were pumped into it.1000 watt Class D amp?
