Congrats, TTZ!!

I have had a lot of Gibby LPs over the years---including a few spendo signature models--and
my current Edwards LPs bring me more joy than those Gibbys did.
Congrats again. Wise choice!!

That's a lovely looking beast! So yesterday I finally found some time to familiarise myself with the guitar and carry out the planned modifications and a setup. I installed an EMG 81 at the bridge and a 66 at the neck, as well as Gotoh locking tuners. At first I was a little bit confused to find that the guitar sounded a bit muffled, as if the tone control had been turned down a bit. On closer inspection, I discovered that the two lower saddles on the bridge were mounted the other way round - with the slanted side facing the string exit at the front. As a result, the two lower strings sounded darker than usual. I then reversed the saddles et voilà - problem solved. The action was set quite high at the factory, which was an easy fix. After adjusting the intonation and a few hours of playing, I am now completely in love with the guitar. I paid a total of 1060 EUR, including shipping and import duties, and I can't imagine getting a similarly great instrument for that price on the regular German market.

How are you guys buying your Edward’s online? I looked into going through Ishibashi several years ago and it involved emailing them. Just curious if the process has changed.
I always kick myself for not buying this Edward’s LP Special while I was in Japan.
Got mine via Gakkido on Reverb, dude Jun there got many LP's over to the US last year!

The real Gibson is still good for a Special or junior and not expensive. I think Edwards scores big on standards, customs and 335s with customs probably being the biggest relative bargain.I have been hunting a Special, or a Junior of some sort. Specifically a Double Cut.
I don't have a P90 based guitar at the moment and the thirst is strong.![]()
The only DC I see from Gibson with P90s is the Rick Beato Sig Model and there
is no fucking way I am buying one of them.
No offense, Rick. I only have the minimum amount of credibility left to squander,
and it ain't being spent on you.![]()

The cupboard on the right is a mess. I don’t see an Edwards here. And no dog. I‘m giving this two out of five beards.
