Drones over NJ/NY??

I'm starting to wonder if there's a UAV-drone-crystal-lettuce-The Matrix-X-Files-Alexander Dumble-Jersey Shore douchebags sorta connection goin on here...

Plot thickens.

Extended family in Eastern PA reached out to let me know they’ve had 10+ drone sightings daily over the past 2 days. We’ve never discussed the topic and they aren’t into fantastical thinking. Their local FB pages are lighting up with reports too.

They’re out there with flight tracker and a 400mm lens trying to get images and video now. I’ll update if anything interesting materializes.

mass hysteria.
This. And with every “sighting,” it only feeds into it.

My neighbor “saw a drone” too last night.

Turns out that it was the planet Venus.

People’s faces have been so stuck to their phones that they forgot to actually look up into the sky for once.

Apparently a little north of where I live Stewart airport in NY was shutdown because of drone activity.
Oddly enough there was an Apache helicopter flying nearby.
Not totally unusual but…
Hmmmm

Or the US really. I’d like to think the media is trying to exercise restraint so they don’t end up contributing to mass hysteria, but I’m not naive enough to accept that wholesale.

The media, as always, is following the script they’ve been given. As far as worrying about causing hysteria, they LIVE for that shit. Be it a snowstorm, a pandemic, or unusual shit hovering in the sky, they will not hesitate to create mayhem if it boosts their ratings.

The government is telling us that they don’t know what they are, but we have nothing to worry about. Think about that one. They obviously DO know what they are, but they don’t want to tell us. If they’re not behind it, you can bet that they know who is. And with the current level of our military technology, that shit wouldn’t still be there if they didn’t want it there.

So you’re saying these are Santa’s drones…

"Drones."

:farley

Oh boy, people are dumb, oblivious, out of touch with reality, speculating wildly, and overreacting again.

Shocking! It's so unlike people to do those sorts of things. :idk

Huh? That's precisely the kind of uncorroborated nonsense that feeds the uncorroborated nonsense, though.

It's a speculative comment with no basis on anything factual. Pure speculation.

What's worse is I bet the vast majourity of these "sightings" are manned aircraft. That's literally
the majourity of what is in the air at all times of the day and night. Not "drones." Not "UPAs."

But that is boring, and not irrational enough for most.
