Ahh now I will always think of an overdriven Fender deluxe reverb when I’m having Taco Bell shits. Thanks, I hate it.

Yes we know, se my post above... :)It has been Fixed as per FAS
Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Notes
25.02
Added “1x12 Friedman” speaker impedance curve.
Fixed clicks and pops can occur when adjusting drive level of Rat Distortion.
Fixed wrong value in phase inverter in Deluxe Verb Vibrato model
Ouups missed it :)Yes we know, se my post above... :)
Still less headroom than I would expect from a DR in the 25.02 FW, I have to set the master volume at 7 in the ideal tab to get it where I want it.

I would expect a Deluxe Reverb to be squeaky clean at these settings with a strat, but this is got some grit to it (ideal MV at 10)
The vibrato channel is the topic of this thread, and I always use the "high" input on a DR.That's the Vibrato version with an extra gain stage, I think.
Also, your Input Trim set to 1.0 is like using the high input.
Try the Normal with Input Trim at .500.
Strat into normal channel, low input of a Deluxe Reverb with volume on 2 is a very sad experience, IRL.That's the Vibrato version with an extra gain stage, I think.

But you said "squeaky clean" is expected with those settings...The vibrato channel is the topic of this thread, and I always use the "high" input on a DR.

I just checked the Amp Guide that @yek put together. It's a 65 Black Face Deluxe Reverb.I haven’t tried the fixed version yet since I’m on an FM9, but every real DR I’ve played is pretty clean on the high input of the Vibrato channel until around 3-4 on the volume.
I don’t know about the specific DR that was used to create this model
Yes, with the amp IRL it will be squeaky clean with a strat at those settings. But you said "squeaky clean" is expected with those settings...
With the above info would swapping the virtual tubes to 6l6 help?Yes, with the amp IRL it will be squeaky clean with a strat at those settings.
Made no difference. With the above info would swapping the virtual tubes to 6l6 help?
Sorry its not doing it for you! One of the pros of captures I guess vs models.Made no difference.
Not really an issue, if I take the master volume in the ideal tab down to 7-8 its as clean I want it again..Sorry its not doing it for you! One of the pros of captures I guess vs models.
Plenty of great clean amps on the fractal line but it still sucks it isn't doing what you'd hoped

In real life, the settings don't match the Fractal... See my previous post.Yes, with the amp IRL it will be squeaky clean with a strat at those settings.
They used a Suhr Modern with high output humbuckers... I'm getting breakup at 2.01 on the Fractal with vintage output single coils. In real life, the settings don't match the Fractal... See my previous post.
Also, in real life, you don't have Cliff's specific 1965 Deluxe Reverb
Using Input Trim of .500 or 1.00?They used a Suhr Modern with high output humbuckers... I'm getting breakup at 2.01 on the Fractal with vintage output single coils.
Something ain't right.
