“Except for all the things hate about it, there’s a lot to love!”Other than the capture process and software being hell on earth; its a handy little piece.

(mentally, I went through all my exes and…there was only one I couldn’t really say this about. Gawd was she insufferable)“Except for all the things hate about it, there’s a lot to love!”
Your talking with my girl about me???????“Except for all the things hate about it, there’s a lot to love!”
Do you think the Tone-X took the placebo place of the tube preamp you ran all those years?
If the Tonex One was slightly larger (e.g Boss size) and would fit a few more knobs, would you find that preferable to the current one?Does anyone actually want these super tiny modelers?
Yes, I do want my Tonex One. Not as the only available solution, but as part of the arsenal. It's a fantastic option as an amp+cab sim on a pedalboard combined with stomp boxes for FX, as a very portable solution for practicing or traveling, and as a convenient back up when you plan on using other gear. It can also be used as an USB audio interface for recording when you can't or won't use your main interface, when travelling for instance.
I would. If the Tonex One was slightly larger (e.g Boss size) and would fit a few more knobs, would you find that preferable to the current one?
Dont know but box used to be an innovator but now slags in modelingRumors of a Series 2?
Anyone know about this modeler?

No, for my usage with tube preamp gear the size and controls work fine.If the Tonex One was slightly larger (e.g Boss size) and would fit a few more knobs, would you find that preferable to the current one?
Well, VOX is innovating in the analog domain via the Korg NuTube, kudos for that!Dont know but box used to be an innovator but now slags in modeling
I like this observation! Vox took a great step with this series but fell short. DEPTH NEEDED.Well, VOX is innovating in the analog domain via the Korg NuTube, kudos for that!
After a stage volume rehearsal tonight, I've come to the conclusion that the Vox Copperhead Drive in preamp mode cannot compete with my JCM800 preamp (DOH!), and that's with both through the same Tonex One tube power amp capture and FM3 cab block IR's (UA OX and OwnHammer), DI'd to FOH. The VOX Copperhead did sound real good for single note work, though it didn't have the depth of sound I like for chord work which is somewhat understandable seeing a portion of it's gain is solid state.
I think Vox if they're going to do a NuTube series two, should consider using two NuTube dual-triodes, and suffer with whatever power requirements they require, i.e three gain stages with a cathode follower and passive tone stack. I'd love to try that concept!

Well there you have the whole premise of this thread: there's not much good reason to make these things so small.Yes, I would.
I have a TONEX One and I pretty much love it. The new MOOER GS1000 is also killer, but it's bigger for sure. I don't want to act like a spamming guy, but please find below how these pedals work for me.
