If it's something too personal, like an unique body shape, unique graphics paint job like the stripes, or the name of the player or band logo right in front of the guitar, then probably not.
But if it's just a regular guitar with a signature and specs I like, then sure.
For example I love the Gibson Mustaine V or Lzzy Hale black Explorer. To me that's just a cool V and Explorer. Or Clapton or EJ strat, Charvel Jake E Lee, Jackson Rhoads, etc these are just cool guitars that I happen to like and would have no issue owning them. The Wolfgangs are also more of a standard line of guitars nowadays.
But I wouldn't buy a striped Frankenstrat... that's Ed's guitar. However, I did build several of my own Frankenstrats thar were inspired by that guitar but without the stripes etc.
So it depends...
