Just found this place via a Reddit thread - enjoying listening to everything and looking forward to hopefully taking part in Season Three.

Winds of the Oracle have sent me a message indicating the "Do Something Challenge - Season 7" (we had 4 in '23 and 2 so far in '24) shall commence on Sunday September 22, 2024!
All musicians, report to duty! Ensure that all instruments are in working order and there is sufficient hard drives space for your recordings!! Let's do this shnit!!!
Categories for Season 7 are as follows:
Original Song (I think you can wrap your head around what that entails)
Cover Song (all or part of it)
Hot Noodles (you stroking your . . . instrument, yeah, that's it, with no clear direction or purpose other than playing/exploring)
Deep Space (off the wall "what the hell is this" category - push the limits of soundscaping)
As usual, we are not allowing yesterdays news! All entries must be fresh rather than that recording from 2002 that the drummer never completed his track for and other material of days gone by. This does not mean you can not do a song you wrote 20 years ago, or cover a song that is 50 years old, but it must be fresh meat on the bones of such offerings ;~))
Keep in mind, the whole reason behind this challenge is to simply encourage you to MAKE SOME MUSIC AND SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD. It does not matter how good you think it is, or what value it may or may not have in the marketplace, just a "do your homework" motivator! Don't want all our music to be replaced with AI? Then get on it and make something with your human mind and body!
Speaking of Winners, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place weiners for 2024 S2 (aka Season 6) in each category are welcome to submit their favorite entry for inclusion on the Radio Station (but it must be an entry from the category you placed in)! If you need a place to upload items to (wav, flac or mp3 - artwork, logo, etc.), let me know via PM and I will do my best to assist! Like Season 5, I will produce a basic video with all the same elements and we will put it up on the YT channel for the world to awe at!

When is the cut off date?

Week 1 of Season 7 will be from 12:00 am ET on Sep 22, 2024 to 11:59 pm HT on Sep 28, 2024. Week two will start at 12:00 am ET on Sep 29, 2024 and last till 11:59 pm on Oct 5, 2024! Same pattern for 6 weeks in a row. Tallys are compiled at the end of each week to show leaders/standings in each category, and final tally and winners announced after the 6 weeks are completed.

I think you are overthinking this. You have 6 weeks to post whatever you see fit (but not stuff from the past). At the end of 6 weeks, we count who has submitted the most in each category (4 categories for S7). Having a start/end to each week is just to give everyone an idea of where they all stand at that point in the season.
So to answer your previous question in a much more digestible fashion, the start is Sunday September 22, 2024 and the end is Saturday November 2, 2024.
