Dimehead NAM Player

Do we know what has been changed / improved in the newer units (?)

Is it internal hardware improvements ?

If not (?) can the original V1 units be upgraded via software/firmware ?
Yeah - so 2nd batch units onwards come with an fx loop feature, a higher headroom input (- 8dbu), maybe some slightly different component choices / etc (but mostly the same otherwise) and are available only on 2nd batch or newer units.

If you have a batch 1 unit you do still get any firmware updates (software based), but not those hardware updates.

I wish it had more effects. I'd like to use this as an all-in-one rig with just an expression pedal.
What effects are you missing?

As far as I'm aware, and I could be wrong, there's certainly room for some extra updates / options/ features in the future, but I don't think the NAM Player is aiming at being a massive flagship multi-fx modeller. Never say never though, I guess.

In other words - I'm sure you'll see a few extra nice things being added here and there, just not 150+ different options.

Some ambient reverbs would be useful. Like the Line 6 ParticleVerb and Kemper's Cirrus and Ionosphere.

I have Helix Native, but can't find Particleverb to find out how it sounds. Perhaps it's been relegated as a legacy effect.
Maybe it's possible to make an IR of your favourite reverb, then load it onto the pedal.
Or maybe describing the effect in more detail eg. 'a shimmer reverb', then the feature request can be better handled.

It might be just easier to use your favourite reverb though, as those algorithms sound quite specific and proprietary. =)
