DiMarzio Pickups - Which ones are YOUR favourites?

My absolute favorite bridge pickup is a DMZ Transition. It’s like a Super Distortion turned down a notch.

I also like the PAF Pro and 36ths.

Tone Zone is good in my Ibanez RG.

The only set I tried that I didn’t like were PAF Masters, which were very bland.

3: Dreamcatcher (Ibanez MSM1)
4: FS-1 (MJT/Allparts partso)
5: HS-3 (In Eb, it's an Yngwie strat , required to be in Eb by law)

Supposedly the hex lugs change the tone. I’m not a pickup expert so I’m not sure if there’s any validity to it.

I've had one in the neck slot of my Cali for probably 20 years now; pairs great with a hot bridge bucker and sounds good in split mode too

I'll also throw an obscure Dimarzio out there - the single coils with the EMG looking plastic cover that they used OEM in the old BC Rich USA ST-III's

I emailed Dimarzio to ask what they were based on and they told me they were a tweaked version of the Dimarzio Brian May pickups

They were awesome as hell

That Monty's Paf sounds lovely - similar to the JB but a bit cleaner
