I think it was around a year on TMP and a year or two on QC. Given the blah blah blah in the world I doubt anything is ever going down in price any time soon. They’re gonna start offering Klarna at the grocery store.

I also think not. When I saw TOOL in 2019 I waited in a virtual line for the sale, and I immediately got in, and there was already slim pickings because I'm assuming there was a fuck ton of bots waiting to buy whatever they could get to scalp. I was furious lol. It wasn't so bad with the recent Opeth tickets I bought, but it was still crazy how many seats were purchased within a few minutes of the presale.

I was just saying to my wife that it really feels like I’m (and all of us are in the same boat) robbed of the feeling of financial success in my career - as I get paid more things cost dramatically more and things have just felt the same for me for the last 10 years. First world problems etc etc, I’m fortunate to pay the bills and have a little extra, but FUCK

And on the flipside, those of us who are aging out and were maybe angling for the remote possibility of a slightly early retirement... and who are now wondering whether they'll ever retire at all.

Yeah, none of this industry is driven by random dudes trying to make an extra $50 to pay for beers anymore. It's driven by market analysts and server farms. Naive to imagine otherwise.

Without a doubt ticket scalping bots are a HUGE problem. There’s a big case filed by the NY attorney general with astonishing examples of bots scooping up tens of thousands of tickets and jacking up rates up to 7000%.

This isn’t uncle Bob trying to make a buck to cover gas and beer. It’s an operation.
