Probably only if you’re near a huge metro area. When Helix came out they were selling in-store in Minneapolis, Chicago, NY but a whole bunch of the preorders were pushed back. I made a bunch of noise about it and got a little discount.Does anyone think that GC stores are going to have these in stock come Friday this week or sometime next week - whenever 'launch day' is?
I'd rather go in and convert my online order to an in-store one if they're going to have stock on hand.

Woof. Id say cancel it and give me a new rep.No sir… I have zero wiggle room on new products.
Oh yea this is in the past. I cancelled that day and went with MF.Woof. Id say cancel it and give me a new rep.
Wow. Didn’t budge a penny? They are going to lose some sales for sure with this approach.I said this to my SW rep:
Hope you’re well. I’ve got a pre-order in with you for the Line 6 Helix Stadium XL as discussed yesterday. As an early customer—#46 on the pre-order list—I was expecting to be included in the first shipment. Based on our conversation yesterday, it sounds like I’ll likely be waiting until the end of the month anyways.
I’d really like to keep the order with Sweetwater, but Musician’s Friend sent me a 15% off coupon which brings the unit to $1,869, and their rewards program is offering an additional $149 in store credit toward future gear.
With the current government shutdown and me being active duty military, I’m trying to be smart about spending and explore options to reduce cost. If Sweetwater can match the $1,869 price and provide comparable credit (store credit, accessory bundle, etc.), I’m happy to keep everything with you—especially given the updated timeline.
Please let me know what you can do. I appreciate your help, as always.

Let me know how you ultimately decide to proceed.

So DI said he filmed his video on 11/6. He said units should start shipping in “a couple weeks”. Which would be next week.

I would say “let’s definitely cancel then. Please send me confirmation. And additionally I would like to be assigned a new rep should I need to make a purchase in the future.”
I don’t think , I suspect release is the 18th next wedSo DI said he filmed his video on 11/6. He said units should start shipping in “a couple weeks”. Which would be next week.
Then here in the forum he said “I was asked to be very conservative in my dates” or something like that.
Could we see some shipments start tomorrow? That 11/14 date has been thrown around.
Mine was canceled that day. I think I was on the front end of cancellations before they seemed to really be fighting it. I did that 11/4.Guy still hasn't canceled my order.

Here’s a trick I use with Sweetwater. Call tonight at like 7-8 pm their time. It’s usually random people answering the phone and they don’t give a shit what you do. I’ve actually been able to work better deals with SW thru the randoms in the evenings than thru my own guy.I first requested to cancel the order on 11/7. Having heard nothing, I bumped up the request on 11/11. He wrote back to ask if I was sure I wanted to lose my spot in line and that I'd be looking at March for delivery if I re-ordered after cancelling. I confirmed I wanted to cancel. I got that sad-sack voicemail on 11/12. I emailed back to once again confirm the cancellation. Still not cancelled 14 hours later.
I did wonder that as well. My last MF interaction I was given 11/14 as ship. I am most definitely not holding anyone to that estimate.Could we see some shipments start tomorrow? That 11/14 date has been thrown around.
I’ll add some about this SW thing just because it has come up a few times in this thread. I have been a solid SW customer since ~2017. I took a break from guitar from my early 20’s to my early 30’s. My girlfriend (now wife) got pregnant with triplets and I sold everything. After we were stable for a while, she green lit my EBMM Cutlass, a Fender Blues Junior and a few pedals. Over the course of the last 7-8 years I have purchased a TON of stuff from them, to include instruments for literally my entire family (bass, drums, acoustic guitars, etc). I’m in the Navy and have had SW land small contracts for audio / visual equipment for my ship (PA, cables, speakers, etc).I first requested to cancel the order on 11/7. I do wonder whether some of this is good old fashioned desperation. It could be my confirmation bias, but I’ve definitely become aware of an uptick in sales, coupons, and aggressive marketing the last month or two…even beyond the normal holiday shopping rush. I’m starting to wonder if sales in general are in a bad spot.I’ll add some about this SW thing just because it has come up a few times in this thread. I have been a solid SW customer since ~2017. I have definitely had my fair share of returns here and there, but it has been a net positive financial situation (on the side of SW) for almost a decade.
To lose a sale, and potentially a customer, for $200-300, is insane to me.
