Damn it! Why can't my tone suck so I can go buy something else

There are still sucky options available for purchase, if you want to find new motivation ;)

I bought a Valeton GP-200 about a month ago and it's a decent unit but with the poly drop being so bad on it, it doesn't make sense to keep it. My backup unit the MX5 poly drop is way better. I have had the GP-200 listed on FB Marketplace and CL for a couple weeks now for cheap and not a single nibble.

Im no Marshall expert or "junkie" .... and the new 2203 is great ... but to my ears and fingers, the Voltage is a much better amp/model.

Call me a crazy heretic :)

Ben

Oh I can certainly see/hear where you get that. It's definitely a a great boosted Plexi type amp. Right now I am struggling to choose between the two for my main rhythm stuff.

IMO the Line6 original amps are a huge part of the future of modeling. You can do things in the virtual world that can't be achieved in the real world. If they didn't sound excellent this would be a moot point but... they do!

I know it requires knowledgeable people who invest their energies and passion into it. And while I love things like the dripman, I imagine a 2nd channel that does something that would be difficult to do in the "real" world, available at the push of a footswitch. As usual my perspective leans toward ease of use in a live performance.

Without a doubt, the Helix is the best investment I've ever made outside of my 1962 strat (bought in 1970 and now sadly gone).

Here, buy this:
