I never took religious comments too seriously. I mean, obviously, I am (among other genres) a Black Metal fan, and we have a couple of christian P&W musicians here. I may have posted the occasional quip or my favourite meme (Gaahl thoughtfully rubbing his wine glass...) from time to time, but never with any serious bickering intent. Always meant tongue-in-cheek, more like fans of different football clubs teasing each other.
Politics is a different story, though. We are living in very heated times and people from different political camps are increasingly irreconcilable towards each other. I do not exclude myself from this. And even if I have to bite my tongue from time to time, I understand and accept that from now on the discussion should be limited to our mutual hobby. And pickles.

Really, the only changes are not posting the GIFs with presidents/congress members and how we’re going to go about consequences for posting political stuff. Outside of that, it’s the same rules we’ve always had, just with clarification.
We’ve actually been using the thread ban function for a while now, we just never mentioned it publicly.

Most of the people here wouldn’t recognize a good number of them, wouldn’t care if they did know who they are, and wouldn’t know if they should be amused or offended by the GIF in question.
