DC-2w is great. TC SCF is very good too, although I've got an old one and not the new reissue.

Plus it's stereo, unlike the TC 3rd Dimension.

Was doing some reading and the No More Tears chorus was supposedly the CH1? Can the Dimension do that Zakk filth? Your CH1 vid nails the Lifeson thing, certainly!

The rabbit hole I just jumped out of had it in post for delay with the CH1 feeding 2 amps for the chorus effects? Some guitar world magazine articles for however accurate that is?

I use these for modulation/pitch shifty effects. The top row covers chorus needs. The newest additions have been the Inflection Point (which also qualifies as a multi-modulation effect), the Hydra, and the MIJ BF-2 (to replace the original one I purchased in the mid 80s, but sold (like an idiot).

Interestingly, depending on the size of the board, I don't tend to have more than maybe two modulation effects on it, where as delays and reverbs (my primary drug) can be seen in higher quantities.

TC electronic have been doing nice chorus sounds for a long time - maybe not as long as BOSS, but still...

The Seabee and the M1 are like Chorus on steroids. You can get lost in their capabilities. Granted, the M1 is a multi-modulation effect. You can go wild with manipulating sounds with the Somerset. Too bad it's not a stereo unit (May have to pick up a second one, to achieve that. It'd be worth it, in spite of the additional expense and board space.

I haven't included my GT-1000 Core or the HX Stomp, but tend to be more inclined to use these dedicated pedals, first.

So borrowed my guitarists CH-1 last night and did some testing. Based on a commenter on @BigHairyGuitars EXCELLENT Shaved Zakk video (best title ever ) ; these were settings he used per a GW article back in the day.

Not sure of the accuracy level of this claim but I will say as long as I kept the effects level at 5 or below; the phase overload that my ears don't like stayed away and combined with the juicy Boss DM delays and a hint of it's extra modulation; it was pretty damn good. I bet EMGs would RIP that much more for this purpose. It was not near as modulated sounding; but I am kind of scared to go down a 1980s rack rabbit hole so it is probably a good stopping point for now.

The one thing they missed here was that the TSC has a 120° phase offset between each of the chorus LFO's, which plays a large part in the overall stereo imaging.

I think you are right (I recall the Dimension C was BBD-based).

The TC SCF Gold is great and unique.
